WTF is Sadhana? And Why do I need it in my life?

Sadhana is basically a daily spiritual practice cultivated to turn inwards and perceive life how it truly is. Self realization. A tool for working on yourself to achieve your life purpose .

We all have come to a point in our lives,at one time or another, when we are questioning, wondering and trying to figure out what the next step will be. This is a way to lay down a foundation.





First, I’d like to clarify two words spiritual and religious .


Spiritual- relating to or affecting the human spirit or soul as opposed to material or physical things

Religious -relating to or believing in a religion

So you may ask can I be spiritual without being religious and the answer is yes!

Being spiritual or having a practice just means you do something to work on getting to your highest self or highest good , there are many ways to practice . 


Basically daily Sadhana is spending time everyday with yourself practicing things like:


  • A Mantra 

  • A Meditation 

  • A  walk through nature 

  • Art with a mandala

  • Pranayama or breathing practices

  • Yoga 

  • Reading spiritual text

  • Silence

  • Fasting 


What will be the benefit of practicing these things everyday? According to the traditions in India  , many amazing things can happen in your life. Depending on the practices you choose. Here are just a few.

  • Burn toxins out of your physical  body (fasting, pranayama, yoga)

  • Burn out the negative thoughts (meditation, silence, mantra,silence)

  • Foundations (planting the seeds of practice and evolution for you higher self)

  • Commitment (doing something even 10 mins a day , you begin to put yourself first and begin to grow. )

  • Evolution (changing and growing ;  are you wanting to change parts of your life?)

  • Discipline ( learning not to listen to the mind and ego)

  • Connect (become more intuitive and connection with your higher self , spirits guides or your god/goddesses)
